The District currently provides network traffic switching at project locations with Cisco 3750, 3850, 2960X and 4500X enterprise switches.  Existing hardware was installed in 2015 and 2016.  The District is seeking to upgrade this switching hardware. Specifically, the District is soliciting proposals for replacement of switching hardware at 36 locations throughout the District. This includes 24 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, 5 high schools and 3 non-instructional locations. See Sections 6 and 7 of this RFP for specifics information related to this request.

The goals of this project are to: 

1. Acquire and replace the switches in the identified schools and support buildings across the District.
2. To replace this equipment starting with the high schools and non-instructional support locations, then replace the equipment in the middle and elementary schools.
3. To maintain the functionality of the existing network infrastructure, network management systems, and network security.
